My Story
I have no formal training as a writer. What I do have is a hodgepodge of background skills, training, experience, and interests that I've managed to weave into my work. I have a degree in Russian Language and another degree in International Studies. I served in the United States Marine Corps as an infantry mortarman and deployed twice to Afghanistan. I've spent a good amount of time traveling, mostly to Vietnam, Ukraine, and Russia. I speak Vietnamese and Russian pretty well, considering I learned them both as an adult.
Languages and fiction fascinate me. That's what this blog is mostly about. Also, I have a wonderful wife, a son on the way, and about as many problems as anyone else has. They might get a lot of air time on the blog, too.
